Auto-Confirmation
I made this series in response to the automatic response letter received for the application of my first Work Visa, after graduating from NSCAD. Though the letter confirmed the receipt of my application, the letter did not include my name and ended with the sentence: “Thank you for your interest in Canada”. This series, in particular, the silhouettes, the use of immigration documents and layering of materials and textures, informed my installation series from 2019 onward.
